The Office of Tenebrae

The Cathedral Choirs perform the service of Tenebrae, a favorite of the cathedral community. In this solemn and beautiful liturgy, psalms are chanted and sung along with the lamentations of Jeremiah. Candles and other lights in the cathedral are gradually extinguished until a single candle, a symbol of our Lord, remains.
